As well as the ability to suspend and re-activate a deployed process, the process modeller also allows you to suspend a particular running instance of a deployed process. When suspended, the process instance will stop and no jobs (such as timers) will execute. Any other running instances will be unaffected.
Suspending, activating and terminating process instances is logged in the iCM security/audit log.
Suspending or Terminating an Instance
Click on the process that you wish to suspend a running instance of. This will show a list of the running instances and their current tasks in the bottom panel of the modeller. See Inspecting Process Instances for more information.Scroll through the list, or use the filters, to locate the process instance you wish to suspend and then click on it's "Details" button. You will then be able to inspect the process instance and use either the "Suspend" or "Terminate" buttons. While suspended process can be reactivated, terminated process will end and be listed in the process inspector as completed.
Activating a Process Instance
When you are ready to re-activate the process instance, find it in the list of instances, click its "Details" button and click "Activate". Note that any timers that expired while the instance was suspended will fire as soon as the process is reactivated - see Timers.Last modified on May 04, 2022
