Breaking Change - Assisted Service 12.8.47

This change removes a feature from Assisted Service.

When viewing a user's details from the search results, it is no longer possible to display their five most recent requests below their profile information. This used to be an option in the Assisted Service article extras, but we discovered the feature caused a significant performance overhead.

As the list couldn't be interacted with (eg it wasn't possible to view further details of a request in the list) and because it didn't integrate very well with Case Management, we've decided to remove it. We will be looking to reimplement something similar in a future release.

Case Management 1.35.1318

This release continues our recent effort in performance improvements and refactoring. In our testing we've seen a 30-40% reduction in the time it takes to retrieve case data, and up to a 30% improvement performing actions when you're working on a case.

The release also includes a new "boilerplate" workflow you can use to create your own case tasks. This new version is simpler and more efficient than the old one, and has a new standard interface when working on a task. See Creating Custom Task Workflows for the updated documentation.

We've also got fixes for:

  • Some task read-only views not working
  • The links sent out in emails not always respecting the subsite
  • An error when exporting cases that used a read-only template
  • The inability to cancel extending an SLA
  • A missing "Task" tab after a case was converted from one type to another

We've added a new cache for the alternate language article ID to save it being looked up every time.
