If you host with us, you can subscribe to the GOSS Postcode Lookup Service. This database includes all of the addresses in England, Scotland and Wales.
About the Service
The Postcode Lookup Service uses address data from Ordnance Survey and is hosted, maintained, and managed by us. Any public sector organisation hosted with us can access the address database and use it in forms, workflows and other applications.
Our hosted data is updated within a few days of Ordnance Survey releasing updates, which is on a six week cycle.
Enabling the Service
Access to the service is added to the configuration of your Postcode worker as a provider. The configuration includes the service URL and an API key generated by our hosting team. We'll make sure the service is set as the default provider so there's no need to add any details in the Address Lookup form field.
Licensing
Before you can access the service, you'll need to have a licence with Ordnance Survey. You'll then need to provide us with a contractor licence, which we'll counter sign.

The licences above do not allow the use of the data for commercial purposes.
How do I Sign Up?
If you already host with us then signing up is easy. Contact your Account Manager who will be able to assist you with licensing, provide further examples of the address lookup and ask the Hosting Team to enable the service.
