My Account Preferences

This form is designed to appear on the My Account template. It lets users update the user groups they are in, which in turn can customise the panels that appear in My Account.

To use this form:

  • Import the form and edit the checkbox group. The values of the checkboxes must match names of site user groups (they are all currently DEMO-) for any of them to appear
  • Create a Forms Service article that displays this form and add it as a panel to your My Account article
  • Now, users can use the form to add or remove themselves from the groups listed in the checkboxes
  • You can secure other articles that appear as panels on My Account to the same user groups, so they will only be displayed if the user is in the relevant group
