iCM Administration - iCM Users, Groups and Approvals

What you'll learn

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Create iCM groups and users
  • Understand how privileges and content roots control what users can see and do
  • Set up approval chains to review content before it is published

What you'll need

  • A browser with access to iCM
  • iCM user privileges to create other iCM users
  • An area of your site, or development site, where you can safely publish test content

Create and Manage iCM Users

In this tutorial you'll create a new user and assign them a limited set of privileges to create content.

Create and Manage iCM Groups

iCM groups are a great way to manage user permissions. Privileges and content are assigned to the group and inherited by all of the users in the group.

Content Approvals

Approval requirements create approval chains, so that content has to be reviewed by other users before it appears on your site.
