Before creating job adverts you'll need to register as an employer. Employer is a general term used to describe any organisation that wants to post job or vacancy adverts to the site.
Overview
The form used to register an employer first prompts you to search for existing registered employers to prevent you from creating a duplicate.

Once you have confirmed that the employer you want to register doesn't already exist, complete the form with the following information:
- Company name
- Description
- Services (see below)
- Contact details
- Address
- Social media links
- Logo
The form also needs your details, collected on the "Publisher Details" page. A confirmation email will be sent and you'll be added as a user able to create job adverts.
When the form is submitted it will need to be approved. Approval must be completed before the employer will appear on the site and before you can start creating job adverts.
Services
This page of the form lists the sectors/services the employer provides and works in. The checkbox group includes all of the metadata values found in the

Pick one or more services to complete the form. They are used to refine search results and categorise employers.
Created Content
Once the employer has been approved, the following happens.
Email Confirmation
An email is sent to the address of the user entered when the employer was registered.
Employer Article
An article is created in iCM using the Contact template.

The name of the company is the article heading, the description is the body text, the logo and any sector metadata are added as related content, and all of the other details are mapped to the article extras.
Publisher User Group
A site user group named after the company (plus the employer article ID) is created in iCM.

The user who registered the employer is automatically added as a member of the group. When a user creates a job advert the organisation they belong to is automatically looked up and the employer contact article is linked to the job advert.
Organisation Object
To store the relationship between employer, contact article, employer details and website user group, an iCM object is created. This is an internal component, see Employer Organisation Objects for details.
Updates
Once the employer contact has been approved and published onto the site, two tasks will also be created, assigned to the user who who registered the employer. This can be seen in the Self Service Articles.

- Update - This reloads the same form that was used to create the employer article. Making changes will go back through the approval steps before they appear on the site
- Archive - Pressing archive loads a confirmation page. Archiving an employer removes it from the site - it's not possible to unarchive an employer
