Media items in iCM can be locked.
Locking an item prevents other users from editing it. No part of a locked item can be changed by anyone other than the user who locked it. This includes the title, description, files, image editor, related metadata, schedule and properties.
To lock a media item, right-click on it in the media explorer and select "Lock this media item". The ability of a user to apply locks to media items is controlled by the Content Privileges assigned to that user.
Users who try to edit a locked item will see a warning about the lock when they try and edit it.
To unlock a media item, right-click on it in the media explorer and select "Unlock this media item".
An iCM administrator can see a list of all locked items, and unlock them by force, using the Locked Items section of iCM Management.
