Buildings and Rooms

Buildings and floors should all be created beneath a single parent article. They should all use the List template.

The ID of this top-level Buildings article is set in the Room Booking configuration, is used by the "Create a room" form to look up the various buildings and floors, and is set in the article extras of the Room Search.

Create a Room Form

This article uses the Forms Service template and has the "Create a new room with contribute" form related to it. It should be secured to staff members.

Manage Rooms

An article using the Self Service template set to display the Room Admin workflow process. It should be secured to the Room Manager groups set up in your Configuration and Users and picked when Creating Rooms.

This is the workflow process started when a room is created and lets users responsible for the room update and archive it.

Approve Bookings

An article using the Self Service template set to display the BP Slot Booking workflow process. It should be secured to the Administrator user groups picked when Creating Rooms.

This workflow process lets room admins cancel, amend and approve bookings.

Bookings Search

An article using the Forms Service template with the "Search for a booking" form related to it. This should be secured to staff users.

Room Search

This article uses the Room Booking Search template (see Searching for Rooms). It should be placed in an area of your site that bookers have access to.

My Bookings

This article uses the My Slot Bookings template. It displays any bookings made by the current user and should be secured to the same users as the room search.
