Once an enquiry has been referred to the Local Authority and the custom "referred to LA" task has been completed, an entry is added to the custom database table that supports the Fostering Hub. The initial row includes values for:
- Case business key (16 digit reference)
- Enquirers first name
- Enquirers surname
- The name of the LA
These values are taken directly from the case.
Imports and Exports
Data can be exported and imported into the database using two shortcuts found on the iCM desktop:
Imports
The import shortcut links to a custom iCM extension, found at <icm-URL>/custom/fostering-hub/index.cfm:
Pick the CSV to import and run the importer. Existing records are matched by their business key (the GOSS_HUB_ID column) and updated.
Exports
Exports are performed using an iCM form:
Pick the LA or "all" from the drop-down, then choose whether the data should be emailed, sent via SFTP, or both. You cannot choose an email address or enter SFTP details, this information comes from the Fostering Hub configuration. See Configuration End Points.
Viewing the Data
Updated data from the Local Authority is also visible in each case on the "Additional" tab.
