Framework 19

Framework 19 adds new features to the Authentication template which make the user registration and password reset journey more seamless.

Authentication Template

The Authentication template has a new section in its article extras for Utility Articles. These are designed to provide links to your registration and reset password forms.

When a user follows links to these forms, the URL will have the login article as a return URL parameter. If the login article URL included a return URL parameter of its own (eg the user was trying to access secure content) that return URL will be included too.

Register and Password Reset Forms

These two forms have been updated to make use of the new utility article return URL feature. It means that if someone is trying to access secure content, but needs to register or reset their password, once they have completed the form they will be redirected back to the login article and, once they have logged in, they will be redirected again to the secure content they were trying to access.
