Content Approvals

Users

For this tutorial you'll need two users. The first user will submit the content and the second will approve it.

Content author

If you have followed the Create and Manage iCM Users tutorial, you should already have a user with minimal privileges whose content you can approve.

The user needs the following privileges and content roots as a minimum:

• Privileges
  • Article add
  • Article edit
• Content
  • The Default template
  • An article root under which they can create content

Make sure the user does not have the "Article Publish Immediate" privilege - this privilege will bypass any approvals you set up.

Approver

Approvers are always able to see the content they need to approve, but it's often best to make sure they have the ability to edit the content too.

All users (or groups) who need to approve content must have the "Article Approvals" privilege.
