The employer and job advert framework lets users register with your site and post vacancies, which go through an approval process before being published using the Jobs template.
Employers
Employer is a generic term used to describe any sort of business or organisation that wants to post job vacancies to your site.
First a logged in website user completes the form to Register as an Employer. This lets the user enter details about the organisation they represent, including name, description, contact details, sector they work in and a company logo.
The submission is subject to approval before it appears on your site.
Employer articles use the Contact template.
The user who submitted the employer details is automatically added to a website user group of publishers, named after the employer.
Organisations
In the background, creating an employer also creates an organisation object, which is used to link together employers and a site user group of publishers.
Publishers
Publishers are members of a site group linked to an employer. The user who registered the employer is automatically a publisher for that employer.
Additional users can also register as a publisher.
When a publisher creates a job advert, the advert is automatically linked to their employer.
Job Adverts
Job adverts are created and updated using a form. The form records all of the information that would be needed on the advert, including salary, hours, location, sector, closing date (which automatically archives the advert) and contact details.
Adverts are published on the site using the Job Template.
Job adverts could be for paid work, volunteering positions, or any sort of role or vacancy you'd like to promote.
