It is possible to email all iCM users, just the users who are logged in, users in one group or an individual user.
Emails will be sent using the "iCM sender email address" set in iCM's autoconfig. All emails are sent in plain text and will include a footer if one has been set using the genericcontactfooter.txt file found in the mailtext directory of the iCM custom directory.
Email All or Active Users
To email all or just the active users, right-click on any group, user or root folder in the iCM Groups/Users Explorer and select "Email iCM users" from the context menu.
You will be presented with a simple form which includes a subject line and email body area.
A radio button group lets you choose whether your email will be sent to all users, or just those currently logged into iCM (described as active users).
To see a list of the users who are currently logged in, click the "Show active iCM users" option in the action panel.
Email a User or All Users in a Group
To email a single user, right-click on that user and select "Email iCM users" from the context menu.
The options are those described above, but you'll also see "Selected user" as an option in the radio button group.
