Create the First Occurrence
When creating repeating events, the first steps are identical to creating a single event occurrence. Create your event, packages and tickets as described the previous documentation.
On page three of the scheduling form, press the "Add additional occurrences" button:
to reveal the recurrence controls:
These controls let you define a range of repetitions, then add them to a list of dates. Any number of repetitions can be defined and added to the list. Individual dates can also be removed form the list.
Date Range
The "From" and "To" date pickers let you set the date range between which the event occurrences will repeat.
Occurrence
The occurrence drop-down has three options.
Daily Options
Selecting "Daily" allows you to then choose "Every day", "Week days", or "Weekends". Press "Add to list" to populate the list of dates with all of the days selected that fall within the chosen date range.
Weekly Options
Selecting "Weekly" reveals the weekly options. You are now able to select the days of the week on which the event should repeat. Press "Add to list" to populate the list of dates with the days of the week that fall within the chosen date range.
Monthly Options
The monthly options can be used to set an event to repeat on either a day of the week, for example the second Tuesday, or a set day, for example the 11th, within the month. Press "Add to list" to populate the list of dates with the day of the month for each month that falls within the chosen date range.
Additional Times
You can also set an occurrence to repeat at different times on the same day. Any repeating times added for a day will be present in your daily/weekly/monthly repeats too.
Add Single Time
Press the "Add single time" button then enter the start and end times of the repeat. You can add multiple repeats, building up a list of times the event happens on a single day
Add Multiple Times
If you need to create back-to-back timeslots, press the "Add multiple times" button.
This lets you enter a start and end time, and the duration of the timeslot. Pressing "Add time" will then automatically generate the timeslots for you.
For example, in the screenshot above, timeslots would be generated for:
- 08:30 - 09:00
- 09:00 - 09:30
- 09:30 - 10:00
- 10:00 - 10:30
- etc until 17:00
List of Dates and Times
Once a repeat range has been added to the list of dates, individual occurrences can be removed, allowing you to fine tune the repeats. Additional repetitions and date ranges can be added to the list. No occurrences are created until the "Next" button is clicked, moving you to the final confirmation page of the form.
