Copying, Deleting and Moving Articles

You can copy, move or delete an article by right-clicking on it in the Articles Explorer.

Copy an Article

1. Find the article you would like to copy
2. Right click on the article and choose "Copy this article"
3. A copy of the article will open up in the article editor

Move an Article

1. Find the article you would like to move
2. Right click on the article and choose "Move this article"
3. iCM will open up the "Grid Editor", including a dialogue box which will allow you to select a new location for the article
4. Select the new parent article and press "Move this article" in the left hand menu

It is also possible to move an article while it is being edited.

1. Open the article "Properties"
2. Use the "Select" button to choose a new "Parent article"

Moving an article will also move all of its child items.

Delete an Article

1. Find the article you would like to delete
2. Right click on the article and choose "Delete this article"
3. iCM will open up the editor in read only mode so the article can be reviewed
4. Press "Delete this article" in the left hand menu

Deleting an article will also delete all of its child items.

Bulk Editing

You can select multiple items in the Articles Explorer by using Ctrl-click to pick articles one at a time, or Shift-click to select a portion of the tree.

Copy Multiple Articles

1. Select the articles you would like to copy
2. Right click on the articles and choose "Copy these articles"
3. The articles will be loaded into the "Grid Editor" ready to be worked on

Move Multiple Articles

1. Select the articles you would like to move
2. Right click on the articles and choose "Move these articles"
3. iCM will load the articles into the "Grid Editor"
4. Use "Select all" to select all articles, or highlight the articles you would like to work on
5. Right-click and choose "Edit" and "Parent"
6. Select the new parent article and press "Move these articles" in the left hand menu

Moving an article will also move all of its child items.

Delete Multiple Articles

1. Select the articles you would like to delete
2. Right click on the articles and choose "Delete these article"
3. iCM will load the articles into the "Grid Editor"
4. Use "Select all" to select all articles, or highlight the articles you would like to work on
5. Press "Delete these articles" in the left hand menu

Deleting an article will also delete all of its child items.
