Object Definition
Every subscribed user will have an iCM object of the type SUBSCRIPTION holding their details. It has the following three properties:
EMAIL (required)
The user's email address (to which all alerts will be sent). It is this email address which allows non-logged in users to use subscriptions and is used for matching objects to users who are logged in.
SUBSITE (required)
The name of the subsite to which the user has subscribed
SUBSCRIPTIONS (required)
A comma-separated list of the metadata value IDs of topics to which the user has subscribed
USERID (optional)
Not currently used, but intended for potential future use where we may wish to store the ID of a logged-in user
An object is created for the user when they first subscribe via the form and is subsequently deleted if they choose to unsubscribe from all topics.
