Data Exports Template

The Data Exports template lets you download data that has been exported using the Data Export Manager, and shows a record of any exports that have been sent by email or SFTP.

Data Export Template

Page Title and Content

The Data Exports template is a variation of the Forms Service template. The page title, introductory text and body text will appear above the exports table, any related content will be positioned as per your website theme.

Exports Table

The exports table is divided into three tabbed sections, matching the three ways that data exports can be set up in the Data Exporter scheduling form.

The type of exports shown, and their maximum age, are picked in the template's article extras.

Exports Tab

This tab lists any regular (ie scheduled and repeating) exports set up to use the platform's file store. Each row of the table shows:

  • The filename, entered when the schedule was created
  • The date the file was created (ie the date the export ran)
  • The age of the file. In the article extras you can set the maximum age, in days, to show
  • A download button

Email Exports

If a schedule was set up to email the export, the emails sent are listed here. Each row of the table shows:

  • The filename, entered when the schedule was created
  • The date the file was created (ie the date the export ran)
  • The age of the file. In the article extras you can set the maximum age to show
  • Who the file was emailed to

SFTP Exports

Any exports set to post a file via SFTP are listed here. The rows are the same as the first exports tab. Download will always be "N/A".

Creating a Data Exports Article

To create an article that can be used to access data exports, do the following.

Before you start
You'll need to give your iCM user/group access to the template via their iCM Content Roots

  1. Create an article in iCM and pick the Data Export Viewer template
  2. In the article extras, pick which exports you'd like to display using the "Schedules" list box. This list box shows all of the repeating export schedules
  3. In the article extras, enter the maximum age of export, in days, you'd like to display (note that this is just for display purposes, the length of time the file is kept is set when you create an export schedule)
  4. Relate the "Data Export Viewer Template" (DATAEXPORTVIEWER) form to your article
  5. Secure your article to a site user group
