Body Panels

Body panels behave in a similar way to standard article panels. They display their heading at the top of the panel, summary, first related image, and can have a background image.

Body panel articles never include a "See more" button. Instead, if the article providing content for the panel has body content, that is output in the panel. Body content can include headings, tables, styled text and inlines.

If the the panel article doesn't have any body content or related images, only the heading is shown.

Creating Body Panels

To create a body panel:

  1. Relate the "body" panel metadata value to a default article
  2. Relate the default article to your article that uses the Panel template

Any body content, related image, or related background image will appear in the panel.

Example Body Panel

This is a default article with the Panel type=body metadata related to it. It has a related image and background image.

The body text of this panel type is displayed directly in the panel.

There's no link to "see more".

Example Body Panel with Video

This is a default article with the Panel type=body metadata related to it. It uses an article inline to display a video.

The body text of this panel type is displayed directly in the panel, which means you can include article inlines.

This video is embedded from YouTube using a script inline, but you could also upload a video media item and use the inline video player. For more information about inlines, see Inlines - Standard Behaviour.
