List Panels

A panel article using the List template displays its article heading and summary in the same way as standard article panels.

The items configured to display in the list appear in rows beneath the summary. The list items display their heading, related image (if present) and either their summary or further list items, depending upon the configuration of the item in the list.

The number of items in each row matches the "Number of columns" setting in the list article extras.

The headings and images of list items act as links to the corresponding article. A "See more" button appears beneath the list items, taking a user to the full list.

The background of a list panel will either be a background image related to the list article or a default colour supplied by the theme.

Creating List Panels

To create a List panel:

  1. Create an article using the List template for your panel content
  2. Optionally a background image
  3. In the article extras pick the articles you'd like to appear in the list (either related, child, metadata, just like a normal list), and the number of columns they should fill
  4. Relate your list to the article that uses the Panel template

Examples

These articles both use the List template. The second one also has the Panel type=parallax metadata related to it.
