The text editor provides a set of core styles, in addition to any custom styles provided by the styles drop-down.
To existing text, highlight the text using your mouse or keyboard, then either press the relevant button in the toolbar, or use the keyboard shortcuts described below.
Bold
This option allows text to be emphasised, typically using darker or thicker letters. To style existing text, select the text then press the "Bold" toolbar button or use the Ctrl+B keyboard shortcut.
Italic
This option allows text to be emphasised, typically using slanted script style letters. To style existing text, select the text then press the "Italic" toolbar button or use the Ctrl+I keyboard shortcut.
Subscript
This option allows selected text to be formatted so that it appears in smaller text below the normal line of text. It is normally used to detail formula or chemicals such as H 2 0. To style existing text, select the text then press the toolbar "Subscript" button.
SuperScript
This option allows selected text to be formatted so that it appears in smaller text above the normal line of text. It is normally used to detail things like dates, for example, 1 st April 2016. To style existing text, select the text then press the "SuperScript" toolbar button.
