Article validators are used to check the validity and accessibility of an article's content.
When an article is being edited, the content can be validated at any time by clicking the "Validate article" action in the action panel.
When prompted, select the required validator from the drop-down list and then click the "Validate article" button to perform the validation. The article's HTML will be submitted to the validation service and the results will be displayed in a popup window.
Validators can also be set up to run automatically when an article is submitted, or whenever an article's content is checked against the template requirements. See Article Validators in the iCM Management section for more information.
If the article fails its validation then it will not be possible to submit the article to the live site until these failures have been addressed.
